New Report Explores the Role of Generative AI in Simulation Modeling

As 2023 comes to a close, the lab has released a new report co-authored by MJ and Ali Akhavan examining how generative AI tools—like ChatGPT—can support different stages of simulation modeling.

The report offers a balanced perspective on the promise and pitfalls of these tools, with detailed, practical examples applicable across modeling methods. Rather than viewing AI as a replacement for human reasoning, the report emphasizes how it can augment critical thinking in model design, development, and communication.
